“I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad I got sunshine in a bag I'm useless but not for long The future is coming on” You know, at the beginning of the digital era when the virtual started going mainstream, I always thought Gorillaz, a virtual band, was a fantastic idea. 4 animated musicians in an animated universe that made incredible music was a mind blowing concept, and I loved the creative forces that drove the eye catching graphics, But more than the graphics, the music was undoubtedly cool. Cool to listen to, cool to sing along to and cool to share with. It all seemed perfect to me at time, and it still does. Oh yes, it was perfect. Pitch perfect.

Chameleons are such wonderfully bizarre creatures! Their appearance otherworldly, prehistoric even but the scales of their skin transform where they saunter! Such lovely things that crawl the leaves of jungles, don't you think? But you must pay deep attention if you want to find one ... after all, they change their skin according to their surroundings, and the colour of their presence well, the results may vary!

A thousand years ago, walking along the dunes of the Sahara, I found myself mesmerized by the brilliance of the orange sky as the eye of the day was beginning to set. Showers of saffron-tinted sunlight streaked across the sky, and as I looked around, a glimmer of something shiny caught my wandering eye. I kneeled and reached out to a hidden artifact, buried in the sands for millennia. Sand covered its surface, and I pursued to brush it off with the white fabric of my robe. Lo and behold a miracle in purple smoke emerged! A creature from the netherworld appeared before me, colossal in posture and powerful in presence. I trembled as I saw the might of this azure-skinned demon, welding the blades of Satan in each hand, anticipating the worst of punishments I could imagine. This enigmatic blue giant however remained still, then with a deep voice that could echo throughout the ages posed a question. “Thou hast freed me from my cursed prison, and liberated me from a torturous hell and its fire, Tell me sincerely… what is thy bidding my master? What is thy will? What is thy command? What is thy desire?”

Last night, on the final night of 2020. I was walking through the deep dark jungles of Latin America, exploring the lush greens before the arrival of the new year. After smoking some hallucinogenic ganja, my mind began to wander the vast universe that was the green green jungle that was all around me. And so I witnessed a daring escape! I saw a gigantic dragonfly, hovering on a blade of long green grass, and suddenly a mesmerisingly toxic frog soon approached her. Quickly she felt a disturbance in the Force, and she flew away before the frog could catch her with his quick tounge. Looking back in laughter, she then said to the frog .. “better luck next year buddy,” ... and yeah let’s hope there’s better luck for us this coming year compared to the last one. Presenting my latest piece based on the theme of "the lie of the land", this piece is called "Seeking A Wanderer" I dream a dream of gliding through the deep blue oceans of this beautiful planet. The vivid brilliance of its coral reef surfaces leave me awestruck but unfortunately, a little concerned. After all if I lose my way in this azure coloured aquatic landscape, however will I find my way home? Perhaps it's best I seek guidance on how can I navigate myself without care or concern, and so I ask the graceful manta ray to take me across ... after all if you're going to traverse across an alien terrain, it's wise to ask for someone who knows the lie of the land. Or in this case, the lie of the sea.

Dear all, I'd like to start off the first piece in this forum by presenting an art piece I prepared last night, entitled, "On Xenomorph Prime", depicting one of the most unique and terrifying movie monsters of all time. As a kid, this serpentine, demonic alien gave me nightmares, and I've always believed that when it came to creature design, nothing has ever come close to the look and feel of the Xenomorph and and its incredible "bio-mechanical" aesthetic, inspired by the artwork of H.R. Giger. Description as follows: How horribly terrifying the dark creatures who hunt beneath the neon skies of Xenomorph Prime are. How eerily magnificent these nightmare inducing monsters are. And how so undeniably majestic these merciless demons are. So truly and dangerously unique an alien they are, and even after all these years, they still make our skin crawl with fear.
